Backyard Studio Official holds a full GCAA (General Civil Aviation Authority) drone operator licence, making us one of the only fully legal aerial drone production companies operating across all 7 UAE emirates. Every aerial shoot we undertake is compliant, insured, and coordinated with local authorities — so your brand is protected as well as beautifully filmed.
Our drone team captures cinematic 4K aerial footage across every landscape the UAE offers: the downtown Dubai skyline, desert dunes in RAK and Al Ain, coastal resorts on the Palm, event venues in Abu Dhabi, and industrial facilities across the free zones. We cover events, weddings, real estate, tourism campaigns, documentaries, and brand films.
All clients receive raw 4K files plus a colour-graded aerial cut delivered within 24 hours of shoot completion.

FAQs
Is your drone operation GCAA licensed?
Yes. Backyard Studio Official is a GCAA-licensed drone operator, meaning we are fully authorised to fly commercially across the UAE. All our pilots hold individual GCAA licences and our operations carry full public liability insurance.
Can you fly drones at weddings and private events in Dubai?
Yes, subject to venue approvals. We handle all coordination with venue management and, where required, local authorities. Most major Dubai venues are pre-cleared in our network for fast turnarounds.
What drone equipment do you use?
We operate DJI Inspire 2 and Mavic 3 Cine series platforms for the majority of shoots, delivering 4K up to 120fps for slow-motion aerials. For specialised requirements we source additional equipment from our trusted network.
Can you combine drone and ground-level filming?
Absolutely. Most of our shoots combine aerial and ground-level crews seamlessly. Our drone team is coordinated by the same production director as the ground team, ensuring cinematic continuity between the two.
Do you fly outside Dubai?
Yes. We cover all 7 UAE emirates and can mobilise to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, RAK, Fujairah, Ajman, and UAQ with advance notice. International shoots are also available.
