Wedding Videography Abu Dhabi 2026 — Packages, Prices & What to Look For

Abu Dhabi's wedding venues are among the most spectacular in the world. Here is how to choose a videographer who can do justice to them — and what it costs.

Wedding Videography in Abu Dhabi — The Case for Getting It Right

Abu Dhabi has some of the most extraordinary wedding venues on earth. Emirates Palace, Yas Marina, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island, Fairmont Bab Al Bahr — these are settings that exist nowhere else, and the productions staged within them are often of a scale and elegance that deserves to be documented with the same level of craft that went into planning them.

Wedding videography in Abu Dhabi is also, inevitably, the most time-pressured form of visual production. Nothing is repeatable, the day runs on its own logic regardless of what was planned, and the emotional moments — the look on the groom's face during the vows, the tears during the first dance, the father's toast — happen once. The difference between a videographer who captures these moments and one who misses them is the difference between a film that makes you cry every time you watch it and footage that documents what happened without ever quite capturing it.

We have filmed over 300 weddings across the UAE. This guide covers what to look for in a wedding videographer in Abu Dhabi, what different packages include, and what the investment looks like across different production levels.

The Abu Dhabi Wedding Venue Landscape — What Videographers Need to Know

Abu Dhabi's leading wedding venues present specific technical challenges that a videographer without UAE experience may not be prepared for. Emirates Palace, for example, has extraordinarily complex mixed lighting — gold-toned chandeliers, coloured uplighting, natural light from the ocean-facing windows — that requires careful exposure management and colour grading skill to render beautifully on screen. Yas Marina venues present outdoor evening receptions where wind noise management and low-light shooting capability are critical.

Venue-specific knowledge also matters for logistics. Knowing where to position during the ceremony for the best angles without obstructing guests, understanding which moments in a specific venue's typical wedding timeline need the most attention, and having relationships with venue coordinators — all of this comes from experience in the specific venues, not just general wedding filmmaking skill.

Backyard Studio has filmed at every major Abu Dhabi wedding venue. When we arrive at Emirates Palace or Yas Island, we are not encountering the venue for the first time. This means we spend less time orientating and more time making great footage.

What a Wedding Videography Package in Abu Dhabi Includes

Our standard Abu Dhabi wedding videography package includes a pre-wedding consultation call to review the timeline, key moments, and stylistic direction; full-day coverage (typically 10–12 hours) with a lead videographer; a cinematic highlight film of 4–6 minutes; a same-day teaser (1–2 minutes) delivered within 48 hours; and online gallery delivery within 4 weeks.

Premium packages add a second videographer for expanded coverage — critical at larger Abu Dhabi weddings where the bridal preparations, groom preparations, and venue setup are happening in different locations simultaneously. A second camera also enables the coverage of guest reactions during key moments, adds B-roll variety for editing, and ensures that nothing significant is missed. We strongly recommend two videographers for weddings with 150 or more guests or multiple simultaneous locations.

GCAA-licensed drone footage is available as an add-on or included in our premium packages. Aerial footage of Abu Dhabi's coastal venues — particularly Emirates Palace and Yas Island properties — is genuinely spectacular and adds a visual dimension to the wedding film that ground-based cameras cannot replicate. All drone operations are conducted under our GCAA commercial licence, which is a legal requirement for commercial drone flights in the UAE.

Wedding Videography Prices in Abu Dhabi — 2026

Entry-level wedding videography in Abu Dhabi — single videographer, full-day coverage, cinematic highlight film — starts from AED 4,500. This is appropriate for intimate weddings, nikah ceremonies, or couples on a focused budget who want professional quality without the full premium package scope.

Our most popular wedding videography package — two videographers, full-day coverage, drone footage, 6–8 minute highlight film, same-day teaser, and full ceremony edit — runs from AED 9,500 to AED 14,000. This is the right scope for most Abu Dhabi hotel weddings with 100–250 guests.

Bespoke luxury wedding film productions — for destination weddings at Emirates Palace, private island venues, or multi-day events — are scoped individually and typically run AED 18,000–AED 45,000. These productions involve a full creative direction session, multiple shoot days, cinematic post-production including custom music licensing or original composition, and a feature-length film alongside the highlight reel.

How to Choose a Wedding Videographer for an Abu Dhabi Wedding

The most important thing to review is footage from actual Abu Dhabi or UAE weddings, not just beautifully produced destination content from other countries. The lighting conditions, the emotional dynamics, the venue layouts, the cultural elements — these are specific to this market, and only footage from real UAE weddings tells you whether a videographer understands them.

Ask specifically about their experience at your venue. If they have filmed at Emirates Palace before, ask to see that footage. If they have not, ask about their plan for the venue — a confident, specific answer based on research is acceptable; a vague non-answer is not.

Ask about GCAA licensing if drone footage is important to you. Any commercial drone operation in the UAE without a GCAA licence is illegal and creates liability for you as the event organiser. Verify the licence before signing the contract.
