Conference video production in Dubai for summits, forums and corporate events — multi-camera keynote recording, highlight reels and live streaming from Backyard Studio.

Conference Video in Dubai: Getting Every Deliverable Right

Dubai's conference and events calendar is among the most active in the world. GITEX, Cityscape, Arabian Travel Market, Arab Health, the World Government Summit, ADIPEC — major international conferences run in Dubai almost every week of the year. Alongside these flagship events, thousands of corporate conferences, industry summits, partner days, and internal leadership forums take place across Dubai's hotel ballrooms, convention centres, and purpose-built event venues.

Every one of these events generates content that the organiser, the sponsors, the speakers, and the attendees all want access to after the day ends. The keynote that the CEO delivered needs to be on the company's YouTube channel. The panel discussion on industry trends needs to be clipped for LinkedIn. The highlight reel needs to go into the end-of-year report and the pitch for next year's sponsors. Conference video is not just a record of what happened — it is the content engine that extends the event's value for months after the doors close.

Planning Conference Video Coverage

The most important conversation in conference video production happens before the event, not during it. We need to know the conference agenda, the stage layout, the lighting plan (or lack of one), the audio system, the expected audience size and movement patterns, the key speakers and sessions that must be covered at highest priority, and the deliverables required. This briefing determines everything from crew size to camera positions to how we interface with the venue's technical team on the day.

Venue technical teams and production companies often have conflicting requirements. The venue's lighting is designed for the room, not for camera. The PA system is designed for the audience, not for clean audio recording. We negotiate these conflicts in advance rather than discovering them during the opening keynote.

Multi-Camera Conference Production

Conference video works on the same principles as broadcast television. Multiple cameras, each covering a specific angle, are switched in real time by a director in a production gallery to produce a cut that follows the action — the speaker's face, the slide presentation, the audience reaction, the panel exchange. This live-switched output is simultaneously recorded and (if applicable) streamed, with all individual camera feeds also recorded separately as safety masters.

The speaker close-up camera is the most important: audiences watching a conference recording need to see the speaker's face clearly, read their expression, and follow their delivery. A conference recording shot only on a wide stage camera is difficult to watch for more than a few minutes. We position the close-up camera at a shooting distance and focal length that gives a clean mid-shot of each speaker without the operator needing to reframe during delivery.

Conference Highlight Reels

The highlight reel is the single most-used conference video deliverable. A 2-4 minute cut that captures the energy, key moments, and atmosphere of the day — the conference hall filling, the keynote's strongest lines, audience engagement, networking moments, the venue looking its best. This cut goes to attendees as a post-event thank-you, to potential attendees for next year as a preview, to sponsors as evidence of the event's reach, and to the media as a summary of what happened.

We typically deliver the highlight reel within 24 hours of the conference ending. For events requiring same-day delivery (to be shown at the conference dinner, or for immediate social media posting), we assign a dedicated editor who works during the event on footage delivered in real time from the camera team.
