Dubai's Arab diaspora brings Lebanese, Jordanian, Egyptian, Syrian, and Gulf wedding traditions together in one city. Each demands a photographer who understands the difference. Here is what to know.

Why Arabic Wedding Photography in Dubai Is Its Own Genre

Dubai's Arab diaspora represents one of the most diverse and celebration-rich wedding markets in the world. Lebanese, Jordanian, Egyptian, Syrian, Palestinian, Iraqi, and Yemeni families living in the UAE bring their own specific traditions, music, and visual aesthetics to the wedding day — and each demands a photographer who understands the difference.

Backyard Studio Official has covered Arabic weddings from all these backgrounds across Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi. Fahad Iqbal Butt leads our Arabic wedding photography team with experience across Lebanese, Jordanian, and Gulf wedding traditions.

The Moments You Cannot Miss — and Cannot Fake

The zaffe (زفة) is the moment an Arabic wedding lives or dies on film. The bridal entrance with a live dabke group, the music, the energy in the room — it runs for three minutes and there is no second take. Syed Mazhar Zaidi positions two cameras for every zaffe we cover. If you have one camera operator moving between positions, you will miss something. We do not do that.

Dabke (دبكة) is a different technical challenge. The traditional circle dance happens in reception lighting — coloured DJ spots, moving heads, dramatic contrast. We shoot with fast prime lenses at ISO 6400 because the alternative is a blurry frame of your guests' most joyful moment of the night. Sharpness in low light is not optional for this genre.

Then there are the family portraits. Arabic families arrive in generations — grandparents, aunts, uncles, first cousins, second cousins. We photograph three to five different family configurations as standard, because we have learned that no matter how beautiful the candids are, the extended family group portrait is the image that gets printed, framed, and passed down. And the henna ceremony the night before — intimate, close female family, slower energy — gets the same care as the wedding itself. It is not a warm-up. It is part of the story.

Arabic Wedding Photography Costs in Dubai 2026

Single-day coverage — 2 photographers, 400+ edited images, 48-hour delivery — starts from AED 6,000–10,000. Adding a pre-wedding shoot, drone aerials at outdoor venues, and same-day social highlights brings the package to AED 10,000–20,000. A complete package covering the henna night, full wedding day, wedding film, aerial photography, and a bilingual Arabic-English album comes in at AED 20,000–40,000.

Arabic Wedding Film Production

We produce fully bilingual Arabic/English wedding films on request. For Levantine families sharing the film with family in Beirut, Amman, or Cairo, a film with Arabic title cards and narration carries a meaning that a generic English-language film simply does not. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Arabic wedding photography in Dubai?

Arabic wedding photography covers multi-cultural Arab weddings in the UAE — including Levantine (Lebanese, Jordanian, Syrian), North African (Egyptian), and Gulf Arab communities. Key moments include the zaffe (musical bridal entrance), dabke (circle dance), henna photography, and formal majlis family portraits. Each tradition has its own visual grammar and its own defining moments.

How much does Arabic wedding photography cost in Dubai?

Arabic wedding photography in Dubai ranges from AED 6,000–10,000 for single-day coverage with 2 photographers and 400+ edited images, to AED 20,000–40,000 for a complete package covering the henna night, wedding day, wedding film, aerial photography, and a bilingual Arabic-English album.

Do you cover Lebanese-style zaffe weddings?

Yes. Lebanese zaffe with live musicians and dabke dancers is something we have covered extensively at Backyard Studio. We know the timeline, the positions, and the energy — your entrance will be captured perfectly, not missed because the photographer was in the wrong position.

Can you deliver same-day highlights for social media?

Yes. Our social highlights package delivers 10–15 edited preview images and a 60-second social reel within 4 hours of the reception ending — when your guests are still sharing and your hashtag is still trending.

What Dubai venues are best for Arabic weddings?

Popular venues include Fairmont The Palm, Sofitel Downtown Dubai, JW Marriott Marquis, Atlantis The Palm, and Rixos Premium JBR for beach-access evening ceremonies. Each has specific access and lighting conditions our team knows well.
